Alzheimer’s Association Launches New Web Resource

Bradley DiTeresi

Experienced financial professional Bradley DiTeresi works as a partner with Casas Hof Constructora e Inmobiliaria, where he oversees the firm’s work developing condominiums in Peru. Outside of his day-to-day work, Bradley DiTeresi supports a number of charitable organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association recently rolled out a new online platform, entitled “LiveWell,” intended to provide resources to those who have recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The website will contain content aimed at helping these individuals cope with the practical aspects of their illness, as well as the psychological and emotional stressors that come with it.
It’s not uncommon for people to resist their diagnosis psychologically when they first discover they have Alzheimer’s disease. This can exacerbate problems, however, as denial of their condition sometimes delays planning. The LiveWell web portal has specific resources to help people in these situations learn what the diagnosis means, how to cope with the reality of it, and what the next steps are. The LiveWell website can be accessed at www.alz.org/livewell.
